I recently attended the Intermittent Electrical and Drivability Diagnostics Seminar taught by Jason Virdin. The manual which was given at the seminar was top notch and an excellent reference material! There were a number of ways to diagnose intermittent problems which were covered. There were even some low cost diagnostic tools mentioned in the manual that could be made from components purchased at local electronics stores. As a rule, I will take all of the manuals obtained from ATG classes and have them at work as they are a ready source of reference material.
Jason is a great instructor that encourages class involvement no matter what seminar he is teaching. What he isn't is the type of instructor that says or thinks he knows it all. He is very down to earth easy to communicate with but he also really makes you think when in class. Jason is very good with explanations of concepts you cover in class but may not be familiar with at the time. He endeavors to make sure all in class understand what is covered and if not will spend extra time after class, when possible, to help you understand what was covered.
I have been taking ATG classes with Jason Virdin for a few years now and have not been disappointed by either the quality of the manuals given or of Jason's instruction methods.

Heather,
I would like to take a few minutes to personally thank you and the staff at ATG for the outstanding training provided by ATG to our diagnostic technicians.
The success of the advanced training classes has absolutely exceeded the results we expected.
Having personally attended several ATG evening classes and receiving results from numerous Firestone technicians throughout the Western States, who also have attended various ATG classes, the value of advanced technical training was never clearer to me.
This experience resulted in the development and implementation by ATG of five focused diagnostic workshops, to be conducted throughout the Western Zone, specifically for Firestone Diagnostic Technicians. This custom training program was implemented in May 2004 and includes scanner, electrical, OBD II, DIS/fuel injection and advance A/C diagnostics.
The ’04 success has resulted in continuing the program through ’05 and beyond.
To date 53 individual workshops have been held, training almost 1,000 technicians. Also, we continue to use the ATG provided evening classes to “fine tune” and up-date techs. And with over 150 techs attending these classes, our technician’s diagnostic skills and confidence continues to improve.
Customer satisfaction and Technician success go hand in hand. The training provided to our techs by ATG has provided a path to success for our diagnostic technician which has, in turn, increased customer satisfaction. Fixed right, on time, every time, as well as greatly reduced diagnostic time is the results of this partnership in training.
Again, thank you. And I look forward to a long and productive partnership with ATG.

Just had the opportunity to go to an ATG course in King of Prussia, PA, for a training seminar hosted by Ross Wellwood on body control modules/computers!!!!
DO NOT MISS THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!
It is (in 2 nites) one of the MOST informative, well thought out, info on the domestic big 3's theory and diagnosis to body control networks. I would have to rate it AAA+++++

We had ATG do a one day class on Hybrid Vehicle Safety & Service. This class not only took away the fear Techs have associated with servicing these cars, but also provided some very beneficial safety tips. Two major things were accomplished:
1. Tech capability is expanded
2. Claims associated with servicing these cars & trucks (improperly) will not be an issue
The Techs have complete confidence now when it comes to performing maintenance services on Hybrids. In fact, the Service Managers can't believe how simple they are to work on (profitably & safely). We are now hosting a second class for Service Managers, so they may also understand how easy it is to safely & profitably service Hybrids.
I highly recommend this seminar for any District or Zone that serves a major metro area. Hybrids will, if not already, make up a substantial portion of serviceable vehicles on the road.
